True Talk: A Holding Pattern

Sep 7
1 min read

I have been in a holding pattern.  And that’s okay.  I’m saying this aloud to myself and offering myself So. Much. Grace.

Cuz friends, I have a whole lot of feelings about that holding pattern.

Here’s the scoop.I haven’t been writing.  Not even in my notebook,  my safe space to be messy and not know what I’m saying and do the thing I’m always asking people to do.I have not been doing it.

And that has resulted in a sense of paralysis and shame around that paralysis.  Because who am I to work with people on Breaking Cycles when I’m not practicing what I preach? And, as Brene Brown tells us, shame cannot live in the light.  So, I’m dragging the fact that I haven’t been forming words on the page out here into the world and shining the high beams on it. And I’m celebrating having formed some really messy pages today and writing this post.  As I say so often, it’s the one-degree shifts, the baby steps, that create change.

So, hit reply and tell me, what’s a tiny step you can take this week?

We’ll cheer each other on! No need to do this alone!

XOXO,

Cindy
